That’s right, since many of the other blogs have started the trend of doing a “love Thursday” post, posing a picture which goes along with love, I have decided to jump on the bandwagon
and give it a shot!
My adopted stepson has one chore around the house, and that is to do the dishes every night. While he hates it as much as everyone else in the house does, just about every night he sucks it up, gets his hands wet, and gets the job done. Well tonight his little brother decided to give him a hand, and gladly dragged his step stool into the kitchen, pushed it up to the sink, and carefully yet as quickly as possible climbed up the three steps so that he could reach the sink.
He had a blast doing the chore, which his big brother hates! He splashed around in the sink and washed the dishes as much as a four year old can, allowing his older brother some very cherished computer time.
Both boys ended up having a wonderful afternoon, doing things which they both enjoyed. By giving a hand both were able to do something that they enjoyed, and learned to appreciate one and other on a deeper level, well as deep as a four year old, and a typically self centered teenager can get!
Today Love Thursday is lending a hand, and diving into a chore for someone you love, when you know that the chore is something that they hate. Today love is giving a hand when it wasn’t asked for, but needed, and more importantly grately appreciated!
